Passionate fans of the actress are calling for that a person who breached a barricade and touched the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared clip depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing photographers and lunging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a yellow carpet accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being detained", though court documents showed that he was set to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram profile features videos of him interrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Grande's Safety

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented a further message on Instagram.

A number of supporters also questioned security officers at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while others called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In videos shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was touched by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Numerous of attendees had assembled in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a dual version of the popular Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising relationship between two distinct witches.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of the previous year in the UK, and scored ten Academy Award nods, securing two for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
